The importance of true color photographs when buying online

You can hardly open the door fast enough. You just got a package in the mail and you know it's the high heels you ordered online to match your evening gown. You tear open the box and wade through the packing paper until you find a small shoebox. Inside the box you discover a pair of high heels that look (gasp) nothing like the ones you ordered! You flop on your sofa in disappointment and hold up the orange tinted heels that you thought would be ruby red. Your date tonight will be ruined with these ugly tomato colored heels. You end up spending the rest of the afternoon rummaging through your closet for something else to wear. Don't let this happen to you.

Manufacturers and retailers, in an effort to make a product look more appealing to buyers, have been known to "photoshop" their images adding hues and tones that do not exist in real life.

More commonly, out of shear laziness photographers may not take the time to analyze their pictures and color-correct their photographs.

At Rain Boots Online we take all of our own photographs and spend hours adjusting our photographs to make sure that what you see on our website is what you will see when you open your package. We do this by placing each rain boot next to our monitor and tweaking its photograph to match the true colors. Although a computer screen cannot display perfect colors we choose the closest possible hue that is available on a computer.

We understand that you are taking a risk when you buy your rain boots on the Internet without being able to see them in person. We also know how frustrating it can be to open a box and have your expectations dashed when you see what's inside. So we spend a lot of time making sure each photo matches its boot. Rather than enhancing our pictures to make them more enticing we believe it's better to show our customers the real thing.
